Nestled between Two Harbors and Silver Bay lies Split Rock Lighthouse. It was built in response to a torrential storm over Lake Superior,  which claimed over 20 ships. The lighthouse has a range of 22 nautical miles with its bi valve type Frensel lens. Perched atop a 130 foot cliff, it truly is a site to see in Minnesota.
